Seamstress Bula Afolabi works in her studio at Harlem Artisans Market on August 21, 2019. Commuting up to three hours a day since moving to Staten Island, Afolabi has sewn, tailored, and designed clothing in Harlem for over 30 years. A 1994 Fashion Institute of Technology graduate, she shared, “I love sewing, that’s my passion and I love doing that – meeting different people, doing different things.”
